32 weeks pregnant

I spoke to my sister last night and she asked why there weren't more pictures of my bump on my blog. The honest answer is - it's very difficult to take pictures of your own stomach! Anyway, she asked me to take one and put it on here - so here it is - taken this morning. My bump at 32 weeks.

I had my scan done at the hospital yesterday and am happy to report that I was told everything seems to be normal and looks good. The sonographer said I was very lucky that I haven't got stretch marks. She said some people just have skin that doesn't leave stretch marks and apparently, it's genetic. I was very happy to hear this and glad that I don't have any marks. I am being very good and using Cocoa Butter cream on my stomach twice a day, so maybe that's helped. Who knows?!

First Lamaze class on Saturday was interesting. Penri came with me, but there wasn't really much for him to get involved in. We just learnt some breathing exercises; all of which came very naturally to me as they are the same as my singing exercises. Then we learnt some stretches for our legs and I had no problems with these. I'm glad to be flexible though; some of the women looked very uncomfortable and in pain! Apparently, next week we are going to learn more exercises. I told Pen he doesn't have to come, but he said he'll be there.

Speaking of Penri, he is in London working this week. Keeping incredibly busy, he has back to back meetings every day, but I think he is also glad of the break from India. He comes home on Saturday and I can't wait! I don't like being here alone - even though I have the two cats for company, it's not the same.

Not much other news to report - things are just going along nicely and I'm feeling well in myself. I must admit, I get tired a lot quicker these days but I'm told that's only normal! Only about 8 weeks to go and then I won't be getting any sleep at all. I can't wait!!!!

That's all for today.

Hi,

I came across your blog today. I am basically from Tamil Nadu but lived and worked in chennai for sometimes. My extended family lives in chennai and I have been visiting chennai since childhood. It's interesting to read about chennai from an expat perspective.

I could really the feel your pain regarding power outages and water shortage. During my early visit I spend most of my time at my parents house . I visted my relatives in chennai couple of years during my India visit and experience the water shortage. In my hometown in India we never have this problem like chennai . the first things I did during my flight back to porltand was to take a two hours bath in bath tub in the start hotel we stayed in malaysia.

Though there are so inconvenience in chennai, I love chennai since its my home . I am 32 weeks pregnant and expecting my first baby in april. I bought the glider you have mentioned here in portland and it's interesting to note the availability of such things in chennai.

I used to shop for sister new born in shop called "Just born" in Nungambakkam high road in early 90's. It was only shop for new born babies at that time and they carried very decent inventory. Check it out.

If you want bookshelves, check the furnitures shops in TNagar , they will have affordable furnitures even book/files shelves made of steel

best wishes,

Ciao

Thank you both for your comments.

Congratulations to you Leslie also and I wish you all the best in your pregnancy too.

CS - thanks for your comments. It's nice to know people other than my family are reading my blog. I have recently discovered a few places to buy baby things - namely Mothercare in T.Nagar. It is expensive but they have a wide range of things. I also went to Just Born but was a bit disappointed with their selection. Anyway, I am all set now (I think) ready for arrival of my little one.

Thank you both again for your messages.

Suzanna

Hey, I think your website might be having browser compatibility issues.
When I look at your blog site in Opera, it looks
fine but when opening in Internet Explorer,
it has some overlapping. I just wanted to give you a quick heads up!

Other then that, great blog!

First of all I want to say fantastic blog! I had a quick question in which I'd like to ask if you don't mind.
I was curious to know how you center yourself and clear your head
prior to writing. I've had difficulty clearing my mind in getting my ideas out. I truly do take pleasure in writing but it just seems like the first 10 to 15 minutes are wasted simply just trying to figure out how to begin. Any recommendations or hints? Kudos!

Howdy! I know this is kind of off-topic however I had to ask.
Does building a well-established blog like yours require a massive amount work?
I am brand new to operating a blog but I do write in my journal every day.
I'd like to start a blog so I will be able to share my experience and thoughts online. Please let me know if you have any kind of ideas or tips for new aspiring blog owners. Appreciate it!

Undeniably believe that which you said. Your favorite justification seemed
to be on the net the simplest thing to be aware of. I say
to you, I certainly get irked while people think about worries that they
just do not know about. You managed to hit the nail upon the top and
defined out the whole thing without having side-effects , people
could take a signal. Will likely be back to get more.
Thanks
